The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Brulés 1er Cru is still showing a veil of new oak on the nose, a mixture of white fruit with grilled almonds tucked in beneath. The palate is well balanced with a fresh, peppermint-tinged entry. Fine depth again, a little wood still to be subsumed though there is decent weight with an attractive vanilla and orange pith-infused finish, a little oat latte on the aftertaste.
