Storing your wine + spirits

There are approximately 1.5 million bottles stored in the FINE+RARE chambers.

Main content

Storing fine wine or spirits properly is key. The right temperature and humidity, minimal movement and exposure to light guarantees that the liquid in every bottle matures in optimum conditions – preserving both the quality and value of your collection.

It is our privilege to house approximately 1.5 million bottles in our state-of-the-art temperature and humidity monitored chambers.

The system is remotely monitorable and features both ambient air temperature readings as well as special liquid temperature sensors placed at multiple points in the chambers. Motion-activated LED strip lights run throughout the chambers which turn off automatically ensuring your collection is always stored at the optimum 12-18°C.

The guardians of your collection have an incredible pedigree. There are currently five warehouse team leaders who report to the warehouse manager, five warehouse operatives, and one stock controller.

An important part of our storage offering is insurance at replacement value. Associated premiums have increased significantly recently but we have long done our best to keep our rates down, absorbing as much of the increased cost as possible. Our current storage rates (charged pro-rata, in six-month arrears) are £13.80 ex-VAT per 12x75cl case or equivalent. View our full storage terms here. If you have any questions about this, or anything else, please contact our experienced global teams.
