Tasting notes
The 2012 Pouilly Fuise Les Courtelongs comes from a 0.35-hectare parcel that is orientated toward the north, but is protected and has good exposure to the sun. It has a very intense bouquet with citrus peel, hints of dried honey, white chocolate and grilled walnut. The palate is well-balanced with hints of marmalade on the entry. It feels rounded and supple in the mouth. There is very good concentration here, well-judged acidity and a long and persistent finish. My pick of the domaine's 2012s - an absolute delight.

More steely on the nose than the Clos sur la Roche but more intense. Lime and grapefruit. Exciting freshness rounded out by the creamy texture on the finish. Mouthwateringly persistent. (JH)
