Score 85/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2017

The 2015 Château La Roque De By is medium-bodied, firm, angular and linear, with darker berry fruits, earth, and leather. It’s a competent, bistro effort to drink over the coming 4-7 years.

Very fragrant. Peppery top note on notably sweet fruit and then gripping sandy tannins on the end. A tad light but some pleasure to be had. (JR)

From the same stable as La Tour de By. Dark crimson. Rather savoury energetic nose. Sappy fresh light tannins and – just – enough sweet fruit in the middle. Quite a charmer though without real concentration. (JR)
