The NV Champagne Le Brut Rosé is a pale shimmering pink hue, with 60% coming from Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Noir, with 8% of the Pinot being vin rouge. It has a delicate savory touch, with sea spray, apricot, and strawberry. The palate is open-knit and approachable, with ripe raspberry, and it is medium-bodied and rather tasty. Its refreshing style can stand alone or at the table. Drink 2023-2030.

Based on the 2018 vintage, Chartogne's latest NV Brut Rosé was disgorged in May 2021 with around six grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of pear, tangerine and plums, it's medium to full-bodied, seamless and fleshy, with a pillowy mousse and a generous core of fruit. It's one of the more immediate, front-loaded wines in the range.
Entirely based on 2012, the NV Le Rosé Brut is a blend of Pinot Noir from Orizeaux and Chardonnay from the lieut-dits Heurtebise and Chemin de Reims. The wine opens with a pure and refreshing mineral bouquet of red fruits. Pretty complex and tension-filled on the palate, this is a serious and complex Rosé with a long and persistent finish.
Dosage 5 g/l. Pale but definitely pink salmon. Tight knit. Off dry. The merest suggestion of strawberry jujube. A little whiffy and astringent on the finish. (JR)
