The 2019 Cabernet Franc comes from a single vineyard that was planted in 2008, de-stemmed and spent 21 days on the skins (shorter than usual due to earlier picked fruit), aged in one-third new oak. It expresses the grape variety well with black pepper infused black fruit, hints of melted tar. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good acidity and nicely focused, though I would like a little more depth and pepperiness on the finish. Fine.
