Tasting notes
The Borgo del Tiglio 2023 Collio Studio di Bianco, a blend of 40% Friulano, 35% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Riesling Renano, shows a beautiful luminosity with a deep inner shine radiating from the glass alongside precise aromas that span orchard fruit, light tropical tones, perfumed flowers and finely delineated mineral notes. Aged in 250-liter barrique, the wine carries a medium- to full-bodied texture and a long, driving finish that emphasizes both clarity and persistence. The fruit comes from 1.5 hectares of vineyards in Ruttars planted to a mix of old and young vines, and in Collio, the Ponca soils of marl and sandstone lend a distinctive mineral tension that frames the wine’s layered, expressive profile. Production is 1,271 bottles.

Spicy to the core, the 2023 Studio di Bianco mixes ginger shavings with citrus zest, stone dust and young grapefruit to form its compelling bouquet. It is elegant in feel, silken and serene, with white pit fruits swirling across a wave of tantalizing acidity, as a core of saline minerals adds a salty resonance toward the close. The 2023 cleans up beautifully, long and crisp yet structured, leaving nuances of green melon and young kiwi as the palate remains clenched, begging for another sip. This is an expertly tailored Studio di Bianco. Production was reduced by 40% because of challenging conditions during the season.
About the producer

Borgo del Tiglio is one of Italy's great hidden gems. A devastating landslide in November 2025 destroyed the estate's cellars, leaving the future of the historic Ronco della Chiesa vineyard uncertain.
