Vau de Vey is a narrow, steep-sided and shaded valley. Very useful in 2022, Amandine Marchive says. Fermentation in 500-litre oak barrels, none new, and maturation in tank. Very subtle wood here. Balances a plump texture with all the bright acidity you would expect. (AWH)

Aromas of white flowers, orange zest and almonds introduce the 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that's a touch more overtly ripe and sun-kissed than the domaine's other premiers crus.
