Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Neal Martin, Jun 2024
The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Prouges is the anomalous non-Premier Cru due to a lack of historical credentials according to the INAO, though the Domaine treats it equally. It has a pretty nose with red apples, almonds and crushed stones, with hints of praline in the background. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a concentrated opening. Again, it leans towards the richer style of Pouilly-Fuissé with impressive depth on the finish, though I'd like just a little more nerve to come through. Still, this is delicious.

Cask sample. Sweet and full-on. Difficult to taste this in-your-face wine just after Chablis. There is masses of fruit and tension but not much persistence. (JR)
