The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cru Clos des Prouges is also very pretty, bursting with notes of pear, honeycomb, iodine and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, suave and fleshy, with a satiny attack, it boasts an ample mid-palate and lively balancing acids

The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Prouges comes from marn soils. This has a finely-tuned and more mineral-driven bouquet compared to Les Perrières, hints of yellow plum, Vervane tea and crushed stones emerging with time. The palate is structured with fine substance and grip, a twist of sour lemon and quite a long, lingering saline finish. This could turn into one of J-A Ferret's best 2020s.
