2019 Beaune Clos des Feves

Cask sample. Very transparent garnet. A rather light, vegetal nose followed by some luscious, almost too-sweet purple fruit. Definite contrast between nose and palate! It's still pretty embryonic to judge from the considerable charge of tannins. Needs quite a bit of time to settle down. (JR)

Full plum fruit, but no hint of prune, give this bold and generous wine some appeal. Plenty of moderately dry tannins on the warm and supple palate. The alcohol is well held in check. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.
