Tasting notes
The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Ménétrières is clearly the most backward of the domaine’s 19s and demands coaxing, reluctantly offering dried honey, lemon zest and hazelnut aromas. It just requires time, but you can tell this is going to be very well defined. The palate is very well balanced with bitter lemon, lime and orange zest and has a subtle nutty edge towards the fresh and vibrant finish. Give this three to four years for the aromatics to open, and you will have a very delicious Pouilly-Fuissé on your hands.

Unfurling in the glass with hints of pear, citrus oil, smoke, toasted nuts and white flowers, the 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Les Ménétrières is full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a textural attack that segues into a deep, concentrated core. Long and sapid, it's the most powerful, muscular wine in the range.
