Tasting notes
The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras was served en magnum at a friend's birthday celebration in London. It retains its youthful precocity with quite edgy malic scents soon joined by lime, hints of Japanese yuzu and flinty aromas. The palate is very well balanced with impressive depth and tension. Quite vibrant and energetic like many Mâconnais wines from this vintage, there is wonderful sapidity towards the finish. This is a 20-plus-year Pouilly-Fuissé. Excellent.

The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras confirms its fine showing a year ago, unfurling in the glass with aromas of citrus oil, dried white flowers, crisp green apple, mandarin and fresh bread, framed by a deft application of oak. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's elegant and precise, with superb depth at the core, racy acids and a long, mineral finish.
