The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Tournant de Pouilly comes from the lieu-dit of Vers Pouilly. This has another wonderful nose with touches of almond and walnut infusing the citrus fruit, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, a little nougat and a scintilla of caramel surfacing towards the finish that delivers a gorgeous spicy aftertaste. This represents a brilliant wine.

Notes of citrus zest, white flowers, crisp stone fruit, vanilla pod and almond paste introduce the 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Tournant de Pouilly, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered wine that's deep and concentrated, with a seamless profile and racy girdling acids. Concluding with a long, mineral finish, it has turned out especially well.
Tank sample. Heady, sweet nose that’s reminiscent of the old New World barrel-fermented Chardonnays! Light pungency on the nose and some finesse. The finest of the three Ferret Pouilly-Fuissés in this tasting. (JR)
