Score 89/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2014

The 2012 Pouilly Fuissé La Marechaude comes from limestone-clay soils in Vergisson and sees 12 months in cask with no racking except before bottling. It has a nicely defined bouquet that does not quite possess the detail of the Vers Cras ’12. The palate is well-balanced with a touch of spice on the entry and like the Vers Cras it is tinged with an appealing salinity and a welcome twist of bitter of lemon on the finish.
