Tasting notes
Very firm and dense with a rich nose and palate entry that finishes dry and fresh. Long and confident. A satisfying champagne that sat very well at the table. Sufficient solidity to stand up to a wide range of savoury foods. Looking good and by no means tired in early 2023. (JR)

This is an intense, pure pinot of two parcels and shows a complex and beautiful, strawberry and brioche character. Full body. Plenty of fruit, but always delicious. An experimental wine. Drink now.
Deutz’s 2010 Brut Parcelles d’Aÿ is a gorgeous 100% Pinot Noir that expresses the natural creaminess of Aÿ and the Duetz house style. Pear, citrus, baked apple, white flowers, almonds and light pastry notes are all vivid. The bright, finely sketched style imbues the 2010 with notable energy and a level of pure vibrancy that will make it hard to resist, even on the young side.
First vintage of this new cuvée. 100% Pinot Noir from Ay. Excellent bakery aromas on the nose, and rich cooked fruit on the palate. Plenty of concentration and volume here, with lovely floral fragrance and a chalky grip to the finish. Elaborate and expressive and delicious. Comes in an expensive-looking box. (RH)
