Bright yellow. Lemon, pèche de vigne and a note of spicy oak on the nose, plus a sexy whiff of greenness; the most subtle of these 2015s on the nose. Vibrant mineral-driven acidity gives terrific definition to this very densely packed wine, with notes of spices, herbs and pepper contributing to the impression of cut. This is also quite phenolic but it boasts outstanding energy and freshness for the vintage. Finishes firm and long, with palate-dusting white calcaire . The most penetrating and backward of these 2015s and in need of patience. This really transcends its vintage.

The 2015 Pouilly Fuisse Clos Sur la Roche has a clean and precise, stony, mineral-driven bouquet that is supremely well focused and seems full of energy and promise. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, plenty of concentration here, but it feels so controlled and precise, gently fanning out toward the finish with gorgeous orange zest and white peach notes lingering long on the aftertaste. What a fabulous Pouilly-Fuissé from Saumaize-Michelin.

More steely than their villages Pouilly-Fuissé, with a salty finish and plenty of baked apple fruit. Good oak integration giving hints of caramel on the finish. (RH)

Elaborate stone fruit aromas with lots of apple freshness too. Creamy, smooth, fine-grained palate. Good spicy length. (RH)
