Tasting notes
(22 months of élevage ): Bright light yellow. Expressive aromas of fresh peach and apricot, smoke and clove. Concentrated, chewy, peachy wine with excellent depth of texture and strong fruit character. But a bit unrefined for this bottling, with the finish displaying a somewhat phenolic skin character. Not a particularly mineral style (these very old vines are situated on clay-based soil) but youthful for the vintage and displaying good energy and balance nevertheless. There's a lot of wine here!

The 2015 Pouilly Fuisse les Reisses Vieilles Vignes comes from a 0.5 hectare of vines over 80 years old, the soil here with a little more clay. It has a clean and precise, slightly floral bouquet with subtle scents of white flower permeating the citrus fruit. I love the delineation here. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, superb tension and brightness that drives this Pouilly-Fuissé along from start to its precise finish, a touch of walnut on the aftertaste. Superb.
