Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2038, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Aug 2018

The 2015 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Les Ménétrières is a fabulous wine that ranks among the vintage's highlights in the Mâconnais. Unfurling in the glass with notes of crisp Anjou pear, ripe citrus oil, subtle frangipane and crushed rocks, it's full-bodied, ample and incisive, with a satiny, textural attack underpinned by a strikingly racy, tangy line of acidity that cuts like a knife. While it has all the concentration and depth that one would expect from a top vintage of Les Ménétrières, it's the wine's vivacity that really stands out, especially in this balmy vintage. While it's quite thrilling to drink today, count on it enjoying two decades of longevity. Bravo to Audrey Braccini and her team!

(close to 15% alcohol): Bright medium yellow. More minerally than fruity on the shy nose, offering lovely chalky lift. Very vertical, wonderfully fine-grained, opulent wine with terrific detail--and even a floral element--to its ripe yellow and citrus fruit flavors energized by harmonious acidity and pungent minerality This is another wine that manages to transcends the vintage in spite of its near-15% alcohol. Finishes with gripping grapefruit zest and stone notes and a strong, tactile, saline impression of dry extract.

Reduction dominates again. Otherwise there is a relatively fine mouth feel to the detailed, elegant and pure medium weight flavors that possess very good richness on the citrus-inflected and impressively persistent finish. This is an unusually dry 2015 and is a lovely combination of finesse and focused power. Worth a look.

(from vines on the north side of the village of Fuissé, encompassing three different expositions and marl, limestone and chalk soil): Light, green-tinged yellow. Captivating perfumed lift to the aromas of lemon, orange, white peach, white flowers and minerals. Supple, velvety and deep, with its very rich, tactile flavors framed by well-integrated acidity. Still a bit youthfully aggressive (the grapes were very thick-skinned in 2015) but the fruit dominates the wine in a 2015 way. Large-scaled, horizontal Pouilly-Fuissé with a saline impression of dry extract. Finishes firm, long and palate-staining.
