Score 89/100 · Drink I may have tasted a sweeter Islay. Just not sure when. This whisky is so wrong… it's fantastically right…!, Jim Murray, Whisky Bible

Nose: Fisherman's Friend with a mix of muscovado and lightly molassed sugars as ballast. Taste: still not technically right. But you have to be a miserable sod not to enjoy the counter-balance between the sugars and the outrageous, weirdly off key peat. Finish: stays the course as a bit of a punch-drunk liquorice-sodden Fisherman's Friend addict but its sheer individuality has you in a trance of enjoyment. Balance: I may have tasted sweeter Islay. Just not sure when. This whisky is so wrong... it's fantastically right!
