Tasting notes
The 2014 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaumonts, which is matured in 75% new oak, has a delineated, mineral-driven, very classic bouquet with black cherry, raspberry and violet aromas. The palate is structured with fine tannin, more darker fruit here, blueberry and blackberry, cloaked in a silky smooth and very harmonious finish. This just seems to grab the Les Beaumonts with both hands and run with it - a glorious Vosne-Romanée in the making.

(75% new oak; the malolactic fermentation didn't finish until the end of October): Bright medium red. Very pretty aromas of raspberry and flowers, lifted by a citrus high note. Juicy, tight and imploded but with excellent cut and finesse to its red berry and spice flavors. At once more delicate and more closed than the Vosne villages , finishing very long and perfumed, with a mineral firmness. These vines are now 60 years old.
