Tasting notes
Deep greeny yellow. Lemon and flowers on the nose. Very clean, deep and throat-warming. Quite ripe on palate entry rather than the zesty, brisk Blanc de Blancs idiom. Lots of pleasure. (JR)

Much tighter than the regular 99. And drier. Very long. A great aperitif. This is the wine that in its time has been labelled both Chardonnay and Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs. (JR)
The 1999 Brut Blanc de Blancs Extra Cuvée de Réserve possesses notable thrust and energy on the palate. This vibrant, youthful Champagne flows with white peaches, mint and flowers all of which come together in a fascinating wine of notable pedigree. There is great depth here, and the wine should continue to develop beautifully in bottle. This bottle was disgorged disgorged February 15th, 2007.
Light, bright gold. Meyer lemon, tangerine and white peach aromas are underscored by smoky minerals and sweet butter. Lush and creamy on entry, then firmer in the middle, showing sweet citrus and refreshingly bitter pear skin flavors. Offers a suave blend of creamy depth and energy, with very good finishing lift and clinging persistence. I'd serve this with a simply prepared shellfish dish.
