Tasting notes
Highly expressive aromas of pineapple, licorice, white pepper, mint, spices and crushed stone. Juicy and tightly wound, with intense, penetrating flavors of pineapple and stone. Finishes with impressive length and atypical grip for the vintage. Offers a felicitous combination of Batard-like richness with the mineral austerity of a Corton-Charlemagne. This is regularly one of Drouhin's most intriguing white wines.

The 2003 Beaune Clos des Mouches (white) reveals aromatics and flavors of oak-infused minerals. Light to medium-bodied, pleasing, and focused, it is slightly hampered by a short finish. Drink it over the next 5 years. Importer: Dreyfus Ashby, New York, NY; tel. (212) 818-0770
