Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2027-2037, Neal Martin, Vinous, Jan 2026

The 2024 Beaune Les Bressandes ler Cru has a well-defined, quite floral bouquet with violet and iris flowers infusing the dark plummy fruit, just a touch of rose hip. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. This has a touch more flesh than the Savigny Premier Crus but does not quite deliver the uplift in mineralité on the finish due to the challenges of the growing season. Still, it should drink well for the next decade.

Cask sample. Altogether more charming than the Pavelot Savigny-lès-Beaune 2024 reds. Still on the lean side, and plenty of tannins with plenty of against-the-grain astringency, but here you can actually taste the fruit. Quite tangy. Sour raspberries and blackberries. Wild plum. A touch of cigar. Autumnal leafiness lingering on the finish. (TC)

The darker side of purple. The bouquet is a little opaque as well. Stern stuff, with concentration, and even some gravelly structure. Without losing the seamlessness of a good Bressandes, this has structure and profundity.
