Pale ruby. Fresh and exuberant on the nose (it's hard to believe that this is an '03), with vibrant scents of wild strawberry, raspberry preserves, minerals and white pepper. Lively, creamy and lush on the palate, the crisp berry flavors expanding and coating the palate. The long finish shows a persistent note of rose pastille.

Score 87-88/100 · Drink 2004-2012, Robert Parker, Dec 2004

This stylish, moderate ruby-colored Gigondas exhibits a complex bouquet of flowers, raspberries, black currants, and licorice. Medium-bodied with noticeable but soft tannin, delicious fruit, and modest concentration, this restrained yet elegant 2003 should drink well for 5-8 years.
