Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2027-2036, Neal Martin, Vinous, Jan 2026

The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos des Chezeaux, a monopole of the Domaine, has a slightly earthy bouquet, brambly red fruit and a hint of hawthorn. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins and sharp acidity, with a tangy, slightly granular finish. Moderate length.

About the producer

Charles-van-Canneyt-portrait
Domaine des Chezeaux

This Gevrey-Chambertin property was founded in 1982 but the vines were leased to other producers. As of 2021, that’s all changed, with Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat’s Charles van Canneyt and his wife Anne-Sophie having purchased the property. This is undoubtedly an address to watch.
