From a valley floor site in Rutherford, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Round Pond is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in French oak. Darker black and blue fruits, savory herbs, a kiss of La Piedras-like reduction, and loamy soil define the bouquet. Beautifully textured and medium to full-bodied, it has ripe yet savory tannins and a great finish. This ranks with the finest Round Pond releases I've tasted from Smith. Drink 2025-2040.

Medium to full-bodied, it has a wonderfully pure, balanced, and elegant profile with fine tannins on the finish. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a brilliant Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon in the making.
Boasting lovely cherry fruit alongside hints of licorice and dusty loam, Myriad's 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Round Pond Vineyard has lived up to this taster's prediction from last year. It's full-bodied yet very approachable already, framed by soft tannins on the long, mouthwatering finish. It's one of the many Myriad wines that delivers considerable value this vintage.
