(Drouhin noted that significant millerandage in one of the family's two parcels was responsible for the wine's firm acidity): Bright, pale yellow, with a faint green tinge. Inviting perfume of peach, pear and white flowers. Impeccably balanced, fully ripe wine with harmonious acidity giving the stone and orchard fruit flavors a light touch. Finishes with a firm stony underpinning. A delicious, penetrating wine with class and aging potential. (14% alcohol, 4.1 g/l acidity and a pH of 3.2)
Some very attractive clarity of fruit on the nose with an array of peaches, white nectarines, melons and honeysuckles. The concentration is staggering. Very, very deep and dense with great acid drive underlying the fleshy ripe fruits. A citrus, stony finish with honeysuckles, spice meat and stone fruits. Superb. Drink or hold.
