Another Northern Rhône look-alike, the 2019 Syrah Las Madres Vineyard Esther Block reveals a ruby/purple hue to go with a smoky, meaty bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, charred meat, pepper, and bouquet garni. Medium-bodied, it shows more floral and exotic notes with time in the glass and has a beautiful spine of acidity along with a great finish. This is another gorgeous cool-climate Syrah that's going to impress for a decade.
