Tasting notes
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru comes from a parcel where Faiveley directs much of the vineyard work. The taut blackberry, briar and crushed strawberry bouquet gains intensity with aeration; I would like to see just a tad more blue fruit. The palate exerts a gentle grip on the entry, the new oak nicely integrated and lending both silkiness and roundness. Gains depth and finishes with the caressing texture that you look for in this Premier Cru. Classy.

About the producer

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
