Tasting notes
(made by James Mantone): Bright medium ruby. Musky perfume of blackberry, sour cherry, tree bark, rust, olive and smoky herbs; the Mourvèdre component really comes through on the nose. Suave, sweet and seamless, with intriguing mineral and iron nuances to the red berry, cherry and spice flavors. Finishes with smooth, fine-grained tannins and lovely perfumed length. Long on personality and balanced to give early pleasure. Very sexy wine.

Made by James Mantone of Syncline, the 2012 Collaboration Series VI is the estate’s GMS blend. It offers classic white pepper, smoked meats, spring flowers and both black and blue fruits to go with full-bodied depth and richness on the palate. Possessing the hallmark purity of fruit of this estate, solid mid-palate concentration and an overriding sense of elegance, it’s another beautiful wine that can be enjoyed now, or cellared for a decade.
