Bright medium red. Wild aromas of currant, game, leather, licorice and minerals. Densely packed and serious but less sweet than the Bressandes and Marconnets, showing flavors of redcurrant and game. Finishes with strong supporting oak tannins that come off a bit dusty today. This will need time in barrel to come alive.

Good full red. Dark cherry, licorice, leather and spices on the very ripe nose. Creamy-sweet and rich in the mouth, with very ripe dark fruit flavors lifted by solid minerality. Finishes with a firm spine of dusty, building tannins. Serious, ageworthy Beaune wine.
