Tasting notes
A true gem in this difficult vintage is the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Boisrenard, which offers medium-bodied richness and solid mid-palate depth to go with pure, complex notes of black cherries, blackberries, toasted spices, leather and bouquet garni. For a vintage that yielded mostly mid-weight, charming wines, this has real depth and length on the finish. It too will drink beautifully through at least 2024.

Opaque ruby. Flamboyant black raspberry, boysenberry and incense aromas are complicated by vanilla and spicecake notes. Sweet, smoke-tinged red and blue fruit liqueur flavors show excellent depth and a silky, seamless texture. Finishes juicy and extremely long, with slow-building tannins and resonating floral and dark berry notes.
