Correct, full-throttle fruit with well-balanced oak interest. The whole thing very well balanced though slightly low key. No-one will be set on fire by this but neither will disappoint anyone. A little stodgy but definitely a cut above average. (JR)
About the producer

Leoville Poyferre
Ch. Léoville-Poyferré is a Second Growth Saint-Julien property that was once part of the same estate as Ch. Léoville Barton and Ch. Léoville Las Cases. It has the most complex and varied soils of the three and produces the most voluptuous, seductive style of wine.
