Tasting notes
Brilliant ruby-red. Dark berries, pungent flowers and subtle game and garrigue notes on the fragrant nose. Offers spice-tinged bitter cherry and black raspberry aromas that show good depth and smoke, spice and lavender nuances on the back half. Dusty tannins come in late on a long, spicy finish that leaves a sweet suggestion of cherry compote behind.

The pretty, Burgundian style 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Memora (60/40 Grenache and Syrah) offers a juicy bouquet of sweet red and black fruits, sappy herbs, pepper, and sappy spring flowers. With medium-bodied richness, fine tannins, and a layered, elegant texture, it's a beautiful wine to drink over the coming decade or more.
A 60-40 blend of Grenache and Syrah from Pignan (sud), the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Memora features pleasing aromas of garrigue, raspberries and stone fruit. On the palate, it's full-bodied, lush and velvety, then turns firm and almost chewy on the lingering finish. Give it a couple of years and then drink it over the following decade.
