Tasting notes
Empty bottle 520 g. 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 50% Sémillon . Sequential pneumatic pressing under nitrogen. Cold stabilisation. Cold pre-fermentation maceration (0–5 °C). Fermentation and ageing on lees in barrels (50% new). Regular stirring of the lees. No malolactic conversion. Diam closure. Free SO 2 32 mg/l, total SO 2 124 mg/l, RS 0.4 g/l. Vegan. Really rather gorgeous and much more complex than a young white bordeaux. Just slightly oily, but that makes it interesting and complex! Silly price for a wine that’s nearly 10 years old but still very refreshing. VGV (JR)

Beautiful, flinty and smoky nose with lovely lemon character. Bold and vibrant with a lot of mineral freshness and racy drive at the finish. Great with seafood! Drink or hold. A blend of 50 per cent semillon and 50 per cent sauvignon blanc.
The 2016 Cuvee Caroline reveals honeyed peaches, spiced pears and fresh lemon slices with a waft of fresh ginger. Medium-bodied, the palate is laden with stone fruit and spicy layers plus a racy backbone and great length.
Greenish gold. Fresh nose but so dead on the palate!! Where's the acidity? (JR)
