70% Grenache, 30% Syrah. Aged in concrete. Tank sample. Tasted blind. Tight, dense and impenetrable on the palate. Youthful black fruit with concentration but no complexity – yet. Surely destined for greater things. (RH)

The 2018 Vacqueyras Garrigues has an earthy, old-school vibe as well as quality black cherry-laced fruits, medium body, some leather, peppery herb notes, and ripe tannins. It’s well-made and is a charming effort that’s going to drink nicely right out of the gate.
