Score 92/100 · Drink 2020-2027, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Apr 2020

The 2017 Leithaberg Chardonnay Ried Jungenberg displays an intensely yellow-golden color and opens with a chalky, dense and ripe bouquet with sur lie aromas. Full-bodied, tight and fresh on the palate, this is a powerful but athletic wine from chalky terroir that characterizes the long and silky, fresh and gripping finish. It's quite powerful though and still young, with fine tannins. Tasted in the Austrian National Library, Vienna, in September 2019.
