I found the 2005 Crozes Hermitage Le Clos to be good, but with tart acidity starting to dominate. You could continue cellaring and hope for the best, but I’d drink up while there’s still plenty of fruit.

Inky ruby. Bright red berry and cherry aromas are enlivened by brisk minerals and fresh flowers. Spicy raspberry and cherry on the palate, picking up tangy minerals with aeration. This very pure wine shows a Burgundian elegance, and finishes with excellent persistence and sweetness.

Opaque ruby. Intensely spicy aromas of red- and blackcurrant underpinned by tangy graphite and iron notes. Very fresh and bright, with energetic cherry and cassis flavors, good acid lift and fine, dusty tannins. Builds and gains in sweetness on the focused, persistent finish.
