Tasting notes
The 2021 Reserva, from Laguardia and Elciego in Rioja Alta, was aged 18 months in new and one-year-old 225-liter barrels. Composed of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano, it opens with black fruit and evident oak accented by chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, juicy chalky notes meet fine-grained tannins, while freshness offsets the enveloping texture and adds agility. A lightly expectorant nuance lingers on the finish, pleasantly extending the flavor.
