Score 89/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2015

The 2013 Hannibal is a blend of 52% Sangiovese, 17% Pinot Noir, 15% Nebbiolo, 8% Mourvèdre, 6% Shiraz and 2% Barbera that is matured in barrel for 13 months with one-sixth new wood. It has a straightforward but well defined nose: cranberry and strawberry to the fore, a touch of rose petal and quince in there. The palate is flesh on the entry and there low acidity here, but harmonious and knitted nicely together with just a touch of dried herbs, rosemary, and sage furnishing the finish. Enjoy this over the next 5-8 years.
