The 2024 Haut-Médoc Giscours has a pleasant bouquet with light mocha-tinged black fruit and touches of pencil shavings emanating from the Cabernet component. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannins. This is quite fresh and sapid, though it feels just a bit curtailed on the finish.
Herbal and leafy on the nose, showing cherries and mulberries. Though a lighter year, this is friendly, fluid and fruity with medium body. Juicy, firm tannins are followed by a gently leafy, medium finish.
Currants, flowers, and cherries come together in the nose to get the wine started. Medium-bodied, fresh, forward, fruity, with a touch of herbs on the mid-palate, and in the vibrant, strawberry, and currant finish. The wine blends 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2036.
