About Ch. Giscours
Wine has been made at Ch. Giscours since at least 1552. The estate was confiscated during the French Revolution and sold to two Americans, John Gray and Jonathan Davis, but it was under the tenure of banker Count de Pescatore (who acquired the property in 1845) that Giscours flourished, pioneering viticultural techniques that still resonate today and helped the property attain its Third Growth rating.
