1995 Macon Pierre Clos Chavigne

Displaying a stony and sweet fruit-filled nose, the Macon Pierreclos le Chavigne Cuvee Vieilles Vignes has super-ripe and unbelievably deep (especially for a Macon!) fruit with slight touches of minerals and herbal spices in the mouth. Thick-textured, this medium to full-bodied wine is beautifully balanced and has excellent length. Drink it between now-2003. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29.
