The 2023 Morgon Aux Pierres Javernières comes from vines planted in 1931 and aged in concrete eggs. This is slightly more opulent and candied on the nose than the Côte du Py, perhaps without the same sophistication. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, a little earthier in style, very well-balanced with an almost flinty finish. Excellent.
