Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,318 g. A wine that smells like strawberries and ancient flagstone floors. A wine that tastes like strawberries and old, cold stones and feels like a latticework of iron with a lick of rust and moss velvet. It's really resisting being poured out the bottle this early. They can't hide the gorgeous weave of glowing fruit and tamarind tang, but the tannins are in vanguard position, trying to hold you at bay. (TC)

The 2023 Morgon Côte du Py, a blend of four plots, has an attractive nose that's less floral than the Corcelette yet shows a little more heft and concentration. There is more red fruit here, with touches of blood orange. The palate is very balanced, cohesive and poised, with crisp acidity, sapid red fruit tones and a bright, vigorous finish. This is one of Godard's best wines this vintage.
