Tasting notes
A cuvée that joined the range in 2000 and has gone from strength to strength in the last few vintages, the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Aux Coucherias mingles aromas of cassis and raspberries with hints of spice and rich forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, gourmand and lively, with powdery tannins and a fleshy core of fruit, it will offer a broad drinking window.

The 2019 Beaune Aux Coucherias 1er Cru is matured in 25% new oak, one out of four pièces . The bouquet is quite intense with redcurrant, touches of hoisin and rose petals, a light balsamic note developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins and that balsamic theme continues to tinctured the red fruit. Lively, lightly spiced on the finish, this fine Beaune Premier Cru should drink well over the next 12-15 years.
