Spices and minerals can be discerned in the aromatics of the 2002 Macon-Vergisson La Roche Cuvee Unique. Light to medium-bodied and lively (it retained a relatively high level of CO2), this is a spicy pear and apple flavored wine for drinking over the next 2 years.

Aromas of apple, peach, pear and mint. Ripe and firm, with moderate nuance. From chalky, rocky soil but shows more peach and citrus fruitiness than minerality. Deceptively easy to drink; the wine's underlying minerality emerges with aeration.
