Score 93/100 · Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018

Aged 11 years now, the 2007 Loibenberg Riesling Smaragd shows the first signs of bottle maturation, displaying caramel, herbal/flowery and ripe white fruit aromas. From a "classic" vintage with nearly no botrytis, this is a salty-piquant and stimulatingly bitter Riesling with intense, lush fruit and a lowering salinity and tension. Gorgeous. Tasted in Unterloiben, Wachau, September 2018.
