Vivid red. Fresh red and dark berry aromas are complicated by graphite, fresh flowers and baking spices. Lithe and precise, offering sweet raspberry and cherry flavors, silky texture and fully integrated tannins. There's an appealing pinot-like delicacy to this wine.

Grenache Noir 60%, Syrah 10%, Mourvèdre 30%. Eight months in large oak. Rich, gamey, friendly nose that is already quite open. Very juicy fruit (in contrast to many of these super cuvées) and fine tannins on the finish. Easy to like – user-friendly. (JR)
